At the same time, we aim to contribute to 3 Sustainable Development Goals, namely

SDG 2: ZERO HUNGER – We aim to end hunger, achieve food security, and improved nutrition while contributing to sustainable agriculture.

SDG 5: GENDER EQUALITY- We pledge to create an equitable world for women and girls, and provide them with ample opportunities.

SDG 12: RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION- We ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

The Impact we create-

Even after putting in days of strenuous efforts, most women Apricot farmers fail to sell their products in the market, despite good produce. These women lack the right market connections, tools and techniques, and the right manpower to harvest produce at the right time. Through our intervention, we have successfully been able to help these women overcome the challenges they face, and sell their products commercially. We have also provided them with tools and machinery like solar dryers to store their produce and reduce wastage. With a collaborative effort, we have enabled these women to take a step toward bringing Apricot products into the Global Markets

Our Story-

Falsutra - Karma works in a full circle! The good you do comes back to you as good fortune!

Falsutra was born with an aim to unveil the Indian Apricot, and all of the various Apricot products, to the world. The year 2021 marked another milestone in our journey as we brought this fruit, not only to the Indian but, international markets as well, spanning our sales across Dubai. In 2021 alone, we have generated enough sales to enable 600 days of employment within 2 months. But this is not the end, we plan on strengthening the agriculture value chain in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and reducing food wastage. We are constantly inspired by the efforts of the women Apricot farmers in Ladakh who have kept this heritage fruit alive for decades, and aim to improve their lives to the fullest!
